The grade might be too low to make out the die markers even if it is a DDO. I included some photos of areas noted as die marker regions on Variety Vista.
Thoughts?

Looks similar to WDDO-034 on Wexler's but the die gouge marker is missing so I don't know if it really is that one or a new listing.

Looks close to 1944D-1DO-010? You might check that one for mintmark locations:

Coop the MM location for that one looks correct on his coin so it may very well be this one.

Thanks for help Coop and josephm99. Here is the N in Cent area close, which would be a marker area for the DDO Coop mentioned. Not sure I see the crack, or even could in this shape. Also not sure if the noses of the 4's are a match. Those should survive I would think.

So how would you honestly label a coin like this? Possible DDO and number of best guess?

This coin is heavily circulated so most of the markers if not all of them have worn away.

Opinions:

So we can't prove the DDO due to wear. So is it a toss back?

How to label it so others see it honestly for what it is or isn't?

I'd save it as the die number. Replace it when you get a better one. But for a premium/sale price it wouldn't bring much.

Thanks coop. For my peace of mind I'll put a "?" by die number on the flip. Then my karma is clear if my daughter tries to sell it in 20 years and I'm .

It always feels in the moment like this will be the only DDO I find, so like the way you think (and when I get to 100's I'll be mellow about it).
