Hello Coin Community - My name is Natalie and I go by the screen name "Nattie Ice" (my name on the radio show I used to host). I have recently discovered the very fun and exciting world of numismatics, and wish I had discovered it years ago! Better late than never, right?! I am very grateful there are places like this on the internet that offer opportunities to meet new and interesting people who are willing to share their knowledge. Not only am I hoping to learn a lot from the members of the Coin Community, I am hoping to cultivate lasting relationships with awesome people along the way.
As a child, I used to spend hours staring at my grandfather's coin collection, intrigued by the shiney finishes on the different variations of his coins.
He had these huge display cases he kept his coins in, and I just loved to look at them all over and over again while all of the other kids ran around and played. Recently, I was on YouTube and came across a video about a
Lincoln Penny that is worth $19,000, and the rest is history! I have spent several hours a day since then absorbing every bit of knowledge about coins and currency that I can get my hands on, and I have to say, I AM HAVING A BLAST!
Of course, I have a lot more to learn, and am really looking forward to being a part of the Coin Community and meeting other people I can not only learn from, but who share my newly found passion of coin collecting!!
I bought my first bank rolls 2 weeks ago - I bought 5 quarter rolls & 2 dollar coin rolls. I REALLY wanted to find a 2020 Fruit Bat quarter and a "W", or West Point mint mark quarter, and I am so happy to report that I found both in my bank rolls, which just hooked me harder and now I am becoming obsessed lol!
Anyway, I am anxious to make your acquaintances, and if I am lucky, benefit from your knowledge and expertise!
