All 1988 cents are " Wide AM" with the gap between the A and the M.
The rarity for 1988 cents is RDV-006 (Reverse Design Variety #6) with a flared G in the designers initials FG. This reverse wasn't fully implemented until 1989. 1988 cents with RDV-006 are tough ones to find.
PCGS identified these incorrectly claiming they are WAMs when really all 88s have a WAM. It's the 1988 reverse of 89 you are looking for, also known as RDV-006. What I see is a 1988 with RDV-005.
