So I found this in a roll a while back and finally have had time to take photos and ask you guys and girls what you think about it? Is this split Planchet before or after strike? It weighs 3.00 on the dot. Also is the damage on obverse from the strike or PMD? Thank you for your input.

I don't think that's a split planchet. The weight is still fairly normal. If it was a split planchet, the weight of your coin would be reduced by a ton. Just severe road rash here, PSD (Post Strike Damage). Not an error coin. It's a spender.

At that weight it is definitely not a split planchet. It may have been scuffed up on a parking lot but is not a split planchet.

Looks like a parking lot coin. Someone may have spun out on it, or stopped hard on it? Either way a spender. Just a damaged coin.
