I have never bought anything from ebay until tonight. I saw the slabs and didn't pay attention til after the sale. I have never heard of National Numismatic Certification (NNC). I hope that I didn't get burned . I got a 1937-D $8.50 it was graded at MS68, 1939-D $4.24 it was graded at MS67, and 1941-S $6.58 it was graded at MS68. The grades should have caught my attention, but didn't. Please let me know what you think. The ebay numbers are 270299327851, 270299331554 and 280283476549. The coins look really nice from the pictures, but the pictures needed to give a better close up. Live and learn. Tom

Not to scare you, but I wouldn't have bought slabs from that company. I cant say much about them since I've never bought, so maybe I'm wrong. I just like to stick with the main 3 is all, makes me sleep better at night :)
If anything return them if you do not like them within the 5 days. Heck, you might even have some gems here, good luck :)

Actually, don't despair! Those are great prices if the coins are actually closer to MS64-65. All three are basically $10 coins in MS65 red. NNC definately grades far too high, in fact I've seen AU coins in MS holders by them. I've also seen problem and cleaned coins in their slabs too. However, I think your chances are actually good that they will be pretty nice because these series are abundant in red MS grades. I bet they are MS63-65 in "real life". So...don't worry, you did fine on them!

I briefly looked at the slab and I was thinking NGC not NNC. Next time I won't get into a hurry. Anyway it's only $22.96 including shipping.

I just looked at those coins. The pictures stink, but they look very nice. I see cartwheel luster on them.
Bettter ask them to combine shipping! That's $9 which starts to make the deal go rotten a bit. Here's the math:
CDN Total value in MS65 red: $27.75 ask Price Paid: $19.32 + $9 shipping: $28.32
You see where I'm coming from.

The photos aren't large enough to see details, but there are several small black specks on all 3. Can't tll if they are on surface of the coin or not. I think Thad's thought that probably be between 63-65 would be close. None appeared better to me.

I wouldn't recommend buying NNC slabbed coins. For the $20 you spent, you probably did okay because the most you could lose is..well..$20. These are likely MS63-64 coins worth $4-$5 each. Not too bad.
I did buy an '11-S (for crack-out) in an NNC slab that graded AU50. The pics were better than those you showed but still for $70 it was risky. After busting it out, I was surprised that it's at least EF40 and maybe EF45 with a great strike. I was happy and lucked out on that one.
Stick with NGC & PCGS graded coins if you buy slabs. Like Thad noted, MS65RD for these dates are about $10 and can be found for that price if you're patient.
Good Luck!

twjcpj check out this e-bay site. http://reviews.ebay.com/NNC-NCGS-an...000001328446 It's e-bays fault for letting sellers sell misleading products. My son recently got some parts for his car. They insisted that one part fits all cars.NOT And the buyer always pays a lot for shipping that they will not refund. The price you paid for shipping is most likely what they paid for the coins. So return them or not the seller don't loose anything.

twjcpj, WELCOME TO THE FORUMN.I just saw the pictures and you will be fine. I have bought some of nnc's slabs and was very content with the coins, these were morgans and commemoratives etc.I have heard some nnc nightmares, go to their site, it is a 1- page site, some one on the forumn stated this person ( 1- man ) does the grading in his basement. What you need to try and do is stick to a few simple things, buy the coin and not the slab( some people will not even look at nnc coins), check the seller's feedback, and look for a reasonable time framed return policy. all in all I think you will be very content with those coins, according to the pictures I see, BE WELL, MORGANS DAD...

First, welcome to the forum.
Second: NNC is about like SGS. Junk, sorry.

Did you get the coins twjcpj? I'd like to see some pictures. If I was you, I'd break them out of those slabs since they are meaningless.

Thanks for your interest BadThad, but I haven't received the coins yet. I'm keeping my fingers cross. I know the MS grade can't be true. I'm just hoping the the coins are problem free and uncirculated.
