@ Bobby , would you ever take into consideration members with at least 10,000 posts to recommend who they think should be the next Moderator and why ?

I think I was asked with less than 2000 posts, and that even with a track record of stirring the pot. Yet, my opinion mattered on a number of touchy issues (especially in the Canadian forums), That said, I would surmise that the quality of posts matter here much more than quantity. jbuck might think otherwise!

I believe your misinterpreting what I tried to say . I'm not saying you would need at least 10,000 posts to become a Mod . I'm saying any member with at least that many posts are eligible to vote or nominate a member of good standing for the Mod designation . Of cause the final choice would come from Bobby and or all Mods .

Quote: I believe your misinterpreting what I tried to say . No, I believe you are misinterpreting my point. Case in point (see below). Quote: I'm saying any member with at least that many posts are eligible to vote or nominate a member of good standing for the Mod designation Even after 6 years as a moderator, such a policy would render me ineligible to vote... My point was, post quality >> post quantity. I can think of several active posters with high counts, whose opinion would do little to sway mine. Likewise, there are those with low post counts, whose insight is invaluable.
