I'm pretty sure that this is part of the design

The horizontal mark is not part of the normal design.

I am not sure. Leaning towards DDR,but also could be a die gouge or even trapped gas.

Seems legit to me, but I'm no expert. Sure looks raised to me.

Looks like damage to the bay. It is raised as the hit to the die, dented that bay area. The bay areas are part of the fields. (outside part of the die) A light contact mark could damage the die. It this were a doubled die, then all the other areas would also be affected, but mostly the center bay showing a bar on either side of the column where the statue is.

thanks for the response everyone, great responses here, coop I believe that this may need some further thought because I'm not quite understanding where you say "It this were a doubled die, then all the other areas would also be affected, but mostly the center bay showing a bar on either side of the column where the statue is." because there are many examples through the years that show various horizontal lines affecting the bay's area that are considered doubled dies without affecting the other bays

If it were mine I (Wouldn't have noticed it)would poke it with a toothpick and see if it is trapped gas. I'm leaning towards that. Seems too minor to be a DDR.
