Curious everyones take on this Morgan. This partial vac is another partial clashed E variety that is not known to have the best strike. This coin is graded by ANACS not my photos Edited by JasonKflo 06/22/2020 11:51 pm

Surprisingly this one grades at Au-58 even with the poor strike over the ear on the hair and Brest feathers I was thinking 53 maybe 55 but wasn't sure I was missing something. I think the other coin has better eye appeal myself

Always buy the coin and not the holder.

Exactly and if the pics are not good enough don't buy it if they can not get better photos

AU-58. Don't confuse strike weakness with wear. This coin has virtually no wear and is very close to MS.

I would personally put this at AU55, technically very close to a 58, but given weak strike and overall eye appeal ( personal preference) I wouldn't pay AU 58 money.

i have to put this one in the AU55 maybe pushing 58 but the luster is just not there for me to push it to 58. the 80(P) are typically sharply struck so I'm assuming the weak strike is based on your comment.

ok so I ended up getting this one after getting photos of other AU-58 this one compared well with some from PCGS . Coin has a lot of natural luster and the rim toning is actually pleasing . it is hard to see in the photo but what looks like wear above the ear appears to have no wear or if there is any its hard to tell. It has nice luster . More greasy luster maybe very similar to my MS-63 1903 for the money though this is a very nice example of this VAM
