I found this medal/jewelry piece in a bunch of scrap silver, it does test silver weighing 17.5 grams & measuring approx 1 3/8" in diameter & is slightly con-caved & I was hoping someone could translate the back for me. Thanks!

Well,on the symbol side around the edges you have the symbols for the 12 signs of the zodiac. In the centre there are some numbers using an egyptian number system, among other things. the line means 1 and an upside down horseshoe is 10. So the top two symbols are 35 and 17.

Interesting but I don't think that it translates into words.

Just spit-balling here, but perhaps the numbers refer to days of the month when something important happened (like a child's birthday)? That would make this a personalized calendar of sorts.

Added: of course that would require a re-interpretation of the numbers outlined by @oriole. In other words, 35 is actually the 10th, 13th, and 12th, while 17 is actually the 10th, 3rd and 4th.

We also need an explanation of the Pac-man stick figures on the bottom.

OK, Pacman symbol (aq flower) = 1,000. So am guessing it's the date 2002.

Actually, given the dots, I think it's a date. 2000.1.1 or 1st of January 2000. Certainly a significant new years day. I wonder - 17 hours and 35 minutes on the first of January 2000? Given the depiction of Isis pouring the water of life and Horus with the shen ring for protection I'm going with Spence in that it represents a child's birthday. A child who later needed money and traded in his or her momento for cold cash!
