Hi Hammerhead

Sorry cant help with this one !!! The pic is way to large and not clear enough to hazard a guess,,

try taking the pic at the furthest limit of your macro, and then sizing to about 60 KB file size,,

I will be happy to give you a grading opinion, but I need to see both sides of the coin with the pictures including the rims.

Hi Hammerhead

Much better on the pics ,, A few dark spots but much better !!

The design devices look like they have a nice frosted appearance but I'm having trouble seeing the fields clearly enough to give the coin a PL,,, my opinion MS-61 obverse MS-63 reverse ,,

MS-62 the chatter on the cheek really hits this coin for grade.

Thanks for posting better pics.

Rick, you and I are in total agreement on this one. MS62. Way too much chatter on the cheek for 63 in my opinion. I also see the potential for a PL designation, but can't tell for sure.

What do you guys think of the lines on the reverse? To me, it almost looks like the fields were hit with a swiping action of some sort.

Superdave, I don't think they are wipe marks. I think they're signs of poor past handling.

Hammerhead, I wasn't looking for a VAM on this one. While I will research them for members here, I'm more into the Bust Half and Large Cent varieties. I'm just starting to get into Snow varieties but need a better book than the Finders Report which I have.
