Closest match I could find was WDDR-008. Is it a match? Having a hard time telling, as it has the bent over Y, but isn't as thick.

I don't think its DDO not seeing it what about the rest of the coin? The top of your R looks a lil thicker. Has it been hit?

This specific DDO has no die markers, only the Y is doubled. I would check on Wexler's to see what I'm talking about. Yes I think the R has been hit. Check WDDO-008 And thanks Grape, hopefully others will give their input soon. EDIT: The thing that puts me off is the that normally, the Y should be roughly even, meaning each part of the Y is equally as thick. This is not the case, which inclines me to believe it is a DDO.

Hm...perhaps yes, I can see that. The question is, is it too minor to submit to Wexler?
EDIT: I've found two of them, will post the other in the morning.

Haha well, once I work up a bit more money I'll send it off to Wexler then, along with some other coins.

Looks like coin contact on the tops of the devices on your coin: http://doubleddie.com/2474337.htmlHere is the link to Wexler's images for that year/mint. But I'm not seeing a DDO on your coin.

Hm yes there are contact marks...perhaps this caused the other part of the Y to become flattened. Here is the second coin I was talking about:

This one is also damaged, but in a different way. Your eye is discerning, the coin is just not a doubled die. Keep looking, they are out there, more in number on the Philly cents. Note the distortion on the 'R's? That is what shows if it was enlarged with a class 9 hub issue. Note how the devices remind you of bicycle tubes that are over inflated? That is called spread. That is what to look for. On the ones not covered here are the ones in the 'TY' that are angled on the bottoms of those devices. Either direction. (To the right or left) A few more to look for on this year, or any other year of the single squeeze dies)

I see, that makes sense. Thank you Coop, I'll continue to look and hopefully find the real deal eventually.
EDIT: Sorry to ask, I feel stupid but I'm having a hard time seeing that distortion of the R you're talking about. Can you clarify that with pictures and arrows compared to the original post? I just keep looking from that one to the ones you have shown in the photo collection of the DDOs, and I'm having a difficult time seeing the difference between the Rs, besides the overly thick ones.

Here they are side by side to show the devices are normal sized, but altered by contact: Now you can see what I mean by enlarged devices. Resembling over inflated bicycle tubes. With out the spread, they are from a normal die and altered. The spread is on the die and all coins from a doubled die will have hub doubled (enlarged) devices.

Thanks Coop for the side by side comparison, helps a lot!
I understand now, thanks for explaining.
