Poll Question
Hello everyone I'm new to the Coin Community and this is my first post. I hope I'm doing it right. I've searched the internet and can't find anything that looks like this dime. I've found similar but nothing that looks just like it. Could use help identifying what's going on with it. Is it an error? If so what kind of error is it? Thanks in advance!

to CCF. Not an error. It is environmental damage like from being buried at one time. Maybe a metal detector find.

to the CCF! Agreed post mint damage. It almost looks as if the coin was stripped of its clad layer and "antiqued".

The cllad layer is still there. Just coated with residue. Eventually going away as it wears off the coin. High spots first.

It is coop, my comment was it looks as if it were stripped and antiqued. Curious, what is this coins weight?

The red color is a lot darker on a missing clad:
