Probably just Machine Doubling but thought I would see if someone thought differently

The mint mark kinda looks like doubling

MD and DDD. Note the mintmark. the center is showing MD, the DDD is seen SE of the mintmark. (Also seen in the same direction towards the rim on all the date digits)
