coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 07/14/2020 2:24 pm That is the drawback on the BIE. What die state are they identifying? Chips grow as the die ages. The only way you can tell for sure is on the ones with mintmarks. Then you can see the locations to help to see if it is a certain die. I just have no time for die event issues on coins. I'm a true cent variety purist. Instead of going for the latest die states, I prefer the earlier die states. If I want to see something old and worn out, I'll look in the mirror.
