Found this in that roll of uncirculated bankroll of 55 S's. I don't know what the spots are on it plating, lamination or what it was like that when it came out of the Roll unfortunately.

Definitely a BIE. Looks like the die is wearing out too for the other areas. In my non-expert opinion.

That is the drawback on the BIE. What die state are they identifying? Chips grow as the die ages. The only way you can tell for sure is on the ones with mintmarks. Then you can see the locations to help to see if it is a certain die. I just have no time for die event issues on coins. I'm a true cent variety purist. Instead of going for the latest die states, I prefer the earlier die states. If I want to see something old and worn out, I'll look in the mirror. LOL

Now I'm not sure if it's listed even I found like three of them in that role and then like two or three other ones that have something protruding From The Bottom Of The B I haven't looked at it really closely though
