Hi,

The diameter of this coin seems off. I stacked it with a few other sols I have an it's noticeably smaller. The first picture shows it against another Sol. It weighs 25.00 grams. I am no expert here and wondering if anyone can help me determine whether it is authentic or fake.

Thanks

The Diameter being off and the weight being right is not a very good sign. Is it magnetic?

It's not magnetic to my regular kitchen magnets (that's all I have to test).

Quite often cast fakes can be identified by being slighlly less I diameter than original, because the casting shrinks very slightly as it cools.

Detail appears to be very good.
My guess is that it is a centrifugally pressure diecast fake. They are usually of much higher quality than molded coins. Diecast zinc metal toy cars are often made in way, to be able to achieve a high standard of detail required for accurate modelling. Casting bubbles and surface roughness are almost completely absent with this method of manufacture.
