I Found One Really Messed Up Dime While Metal Detecting.

Artemii New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 07/17/2020 04:13 am I found this dime today with my metal detector. I don't now much about error coins. Was wondering what is wrong with this coin? What kind of error is it? How much could it be worth? Should I grade it? the red spots on the face side is copper showing through nickel plating. Thanks for watching. Report this Post to the Staff

Second, while this coin didn't leave the mint looking like this, I'm not sure exactly what happened to your coin. It doesn't look like the broad bubbling caused from extreme heat (such as a campfire) so perhaps these are bubbles from corrosion in the soil. I might just keep this one even though it is just damaged.
