Hey guys I just won this coin on e-Bay . Would like to know what grade you would give it and any comments on the strike for a 24-D . Don't even mention to crop or enlarge the photos ,you have no idea what I went through just to get these .

Nice XF/AU penny. The wheat ears kinda look like fingerprints when I enlarge the photos.

I'll say VF-30 tops, wheat stalks a bit soft, ear disappearing. Choice problem-free example.

Well Ethan , when I first saw this bad boy on e-bay it had no bidders with over 6 days left on it and a starting price of $39. Had to be just listed . As soon as I saw it I said that's the one I've been looking for for years . not mainly for condition but for strike . 24-D's are noted for weak mushy strikes . So I immediately threw a rather large bid on it and said to myself , lets see what happens . Now keep in mind I also gave this coin choice EF according to sellers photos . I'm sure most of you know what happens to a circulated coin when you excessively blow it up ( Thanks Ussid18 ) nothing like good friends to help you out ! Any way so with the more lifelike pics I just had to have this monster . One other bidder put in a small bid on the 3rd day and that's where it ended . Fearing a snipe attack at the last few seconds I raised my already high bid at the stroke of 6 seconds left . Bingo no sniping only dead silence . Then it came up on the screen that I won the bid . Long story longer ,I got it for less than half of my original bid . I will post photos when I have it in hand .

Even with the magnified pics, I can see this at XF-45. Nice buy!
