@scotty, as noted above, it isn't necessary to make this into a poll, but don't stress about it. You have a so-called love token. Someone took a normal Morgan dollar, smoothed one side, and then engraved what seems to be the letters CI on that surface. The coin has little remaining numismatic value, but is still interesting and would make an awesome pocket piece to someone with IC or CI as their initials.

There are many collectors who specialize in love tokens. This piece may be of value to one of them. It may be more valuable than the Morgan dollar from which it was created. Check similar items on ebay and other auction sites for comparables.

I would read the initials of the monogram as CJ. The tallest one is traditionally the surname.
