I been slow in posting some of my latter acquisition, this one I got at least 2 years ago from Fred Weinberg, having a error is something to boast, but along with a RPM is not as easy, something I didn't notice until the sticker in front of the slab reminded me to look again. Wexler and Flynn has this as WRPM-001, but like most RPM, this one lacks the general popularity, and is not dramatic like some of the other one's in the Cherrypicker's guide.

My current set up doesn't allow me to take close up, hopefully I can find a way and time to do it correctly.

What makes it a split planchet and not a lamination issue?

Hi John1,

The planchet is definitely half way split from the center of the reed edge in the beginning, the area near the date start to taper off, making it more like a lamination issue. I will see if I can get a picture at an angle tonight at the area of question.

So this is tougher than I thought, need to get a better setup, sorry for the delay in getting the picture, had to keep my hand steady, even with the moment sensor compensation.

I wish some of the pros would chime in.
