When Machine Doubling happens on a doubled die, the full doubling will be there, the the Machine Doubling will be in a direction. Note the yellow arrows. That is the direction the MD is on, but the rest of the hub doubling is present. Machine Doubling is very common on the 1968-1972 cents.
