I don't think it's my eyes playing tricks on me, but I'm pretty sure I just found a penny that had been double struck. I believe I used the correct term. Some of the pictures that are posted, I have circled with red where I see something. On a couple of pictures, I did not circle anything, because I want to see if anyone sees what I see. Sometimes if you point out what you see, other people's brains just see the same. This 1993 was stamped off center slightly. All, but the last picture, was taken rotated 90°, where Lincoln's nose is pointing straight up. The first pic will show how the coin was laying for the pictures. Second picture, is just the coin sitting the correct way. The last picture, I had to rotate it to where it was upside down. It was the only way to read the letters I saw right side up, if that makes any sense. I got super excited when I found this. Let me know what you think! I hope the pictures are clear enough. The only way I could take them, to show it, was putting my phones camera lens, right up against my eye piece. Thanks. #9786;#65039;

I'm not sure, but I think what you're seeing is a combination of circulation marks and maybe some die polishing lines. I don't see a double struck coin.

I cannot identify what part of your coin is being shown,...it's like I'm being taken on a cosmic trip... all the white areas... what part of the coin is that taken? Like your circled 8? What part of the coin was that taken? I recognize the date, but... wow, I must be having a bad reaction to a medicine I take. The last photo you have... it has a circle around a face, then four down arrows to nowhere. I can can say is wow, what a trip! After the circled 8, the next two photos show ? I need to lay down.

 to CCF. If the reverse is centered it is a MAD, misaligned die. That's all I am seeing. John1

 to the CCF! Are the letters and numbers the same size as normal? If they are smaller then it's not from a previous strike. Even if they have been flatten they should still be about the same size and shape as the second strikes letters.

If these were from a previous strike, where is the rest of the design. They would be slightly raised if it were a double strike The rolling lines are higher than what you are looking at. Also I feel this is a tilted die strike, rather than a MAD. MADs don't leave a flattened fin.

In the last picture, the part is right above the date and turned upside down. I can see the "E" clearly under the last arrow. So, to me, it looks like part of the reverse is printed on the front. Because the side of the "E" looks like the same "E" in "United". But if you click on the last pic and zoom in under the last arrow, I can see the E.
