Hey all, back again with another one I'm looking for help on. Don't worry, should be the last one for a while.

1875 Dime. Is this normal pockmarking for the fields, or is this a cast coin? No weight to give you, unfortunately. If real, thinking VF20?

Thanks again!

I'll say high VF details (cleaned).

I'm thinking environmental damage. Maybe buried, and then harshly cleaned to the the dirt/toning off.

I'd say VF details as well. Would agree with the above that it had a lot more ED that was cleaned. Was probably XF before the ED/cleaning.

I agree, VF Details (harshly cleaned). @Lancek could well be spot on with this coin's history.

Looks like something has corroded it badly, then it was harshly cleaned.

Doesn't look cast to me, but then again, I'd assume coins in this price range aren't worth doing forgeries on. If it was an 1879/1880/1881, then I'd take a much closer look.
Got to give a girl a break...she's 145 years old after all.
