The coin commemorating Julius Caesar's murder:

If-You-Could-Only-Collect-One-Coin?

I was born in 70 so this is the coin that I would try to purchase for $1000.

If I were restricted to owning just one coin, I'd be very miserable, no matter how good an "investment" it might be.
I agree. That was my point; there is no reason to buy the 1909-S VDB if I cannot buy any of the other key dates I need to complete the set.

I have a 1909S VDB already so another would just be a duplicate. Since this is an exercise in "lets pretend" I'd have to say a Mint State 1955 DDO Lincoln Cent.

In this "let's pretend" game, you'd have no doubles. :) Only one coin.

Can the word "collect" be used to refer to having only one of something?

I would probably just collect liberty coronet head double eagles, but if I could only collect one date it would be the 1854-O..lol Not like I could afford one..lol. Otherwise the ones I could afford would be MS-61 to 62 1902 Phillies
