You can still get a real 1795 on ebay without a slab, if you can put up with the damage. Genuine plugged, scratched and badly worn examples show up often in the $1000-1500 price range. They're great for belt buckles.

You would think that before shelling out $1,500 a bidder might have noticed the reeded edge on this coin, not to mention on all his other Draped Bust dollars.

I saw a 1795 on there, obvious fake, starting bid of $800. Joined ebay that day, 0 feedback. Looked at their other items, two 1944 Lincoln cents, buy it now price of something like $2000. I sent him an offer of $1 for his FAKE coin, said he was being reported. Gone now.

I reported him as well and sent a message saying FYI all your coins are counterfeit.....his response " What are u about I wouldn't know how to counterfeit, even if u showed me. I don't know what you're talking about"
