I came across this quarter was getting out of the car as hit the floor I realize it wasn't regular quarter when I took a look at it turned out to be a silver quarter but they don't make these silver quarters with a mint mark P. It also it looks like he has extra metal or some defects.
Agreed, not an error and also not silver. That kind of damage only happens on clad coins, the outer layer separates and bubbles. This doesn't happen with silver coins as there are no layers.
