I have a 1964 Kennedy half dollar and I was looking at it and noticed that the 9 looks off, it looks almost like a zero with a line under it. Has anyone ever seen this?

My second question is has anyone seen a marking under the neck on the Kennedy half dollar?

With the better pictures, the 9 is clearly damaged. Coin is worth melt value.

It could be a small strike through on the 9, but it's hard to tell from these images. Even if it is a strike through I don't think the condition of the coin isn't good enough to command a premium. As noted, just worth melt.
