I found this in a roll of nickels, that I got from the grocery store about a week ago. On the reverse, going from the 12 to 2 o-clock position. Between the S and Unum, there are a couple small holes. Unum looks like foil was pressed into it, along with a small piece on both edges of the rim at the U and M that appear slightly lifted. Edited by Grelko 08/12/2020 1:25 pm

Looks like a part of debris got struck onto your coin. It does look like it may have peel away some of the planchet. So check the weight. It might be slightly lower in weight if it is a lamination, or slightly heavier if it is a struck through. (Differences would be minimal though)

It weighs 5.017g There doesn't appear to be anything different with the edge that I can see, except for a few scratches. In the second picture on the right side, the lighter color is the reflection of my finger.

Hey that is a super find @grelko! Worthy of a 2x2.

The second image of the edge looks recessed like we might expect a lamination to look like. It's at such a sharp angle it's hard to tell if it lines up with the area at UNUM. I've put arrows to Grelko's image. Anyone else see the edge of a lamination (after going through the upturning process)?
