This coin has proven to be quite a challenge in identifying and I would be most grateful to anyone who might have a suggestion. It's a challenge because the condition of the coin is far from ideal. I found it probably 20years ago now while digging around in my grandparents garden as a child. I remember asking my grandmother about it but she offered nothing, so I tucked it away and forgot about it until I recently "unearthed" it again clearing out some things. The one side I can make out the faint picture of perhaps a shield topped by what looks like a crown, surrounded by writing, what I couldn't say. Some of the letters are legible but no words I know, perhaps latin. The opposite face has a definite two, then below the letters J(?) E B A(?), all of which is cresented in what looks like wheat fronds. The diameter is 22mm, not sure of the metal type. What's really interesting is that I think I can just about make out the date to be 1920 something (just below the JEBA bit) I am fairly certain its not an American coin that I know of, and it was in New York state that I found this, but if the date is right, I am truly curious to know of the coins origin as the property was been in the family since the turn of the century. Anyone out there with a clue?

Yes, it's definitely that one. I'd say it's the 1925 one since it doesn't look like aluminum.
An interesting find indeed

I'd be more inclined toward 1941, as it looks like it may be rust on it.

If it's magnetic, that would basically "nail" the date for this coin.

Thank you , I would have never thought to research Bulgarian coins, quite a one off. And I checked, it's not magnetic.
