Is There A 1917 Matt 5 Cent Silver Nickel?

47P7 Pillar of the Community Canada 1505 Posts	Posted 08/13/2020 1:02 pm Please have a close look at this silver nickel. In hand it looks like a matt coin. The questions is this: what makes the surface look like a matt coin? Same appearance on both sides. There are no traces of any kind of tool used. No actual cleaning traces or hairlines. Can anyone say with certainty what it is and how it came about? Please, to say simply it is cleaned is not the answer. If you say so, please say HOW and with what it was done.
