Hello, I'm new at coin collecting and find it very interesting and enjoyable. I'm still learning how to identify certain errors and their values. I came across this 1972 D dime with the second u missing from EPU on the reverse and I can't find it anywhere on the web. I was hoping someone would be able to help me identify what type of error it would be classified as if at all.

Probably a Struck Through Grease error, which is more common some years than others. I suspect such errors were not common in 1972, so that coin might be worth a couple dollars.

The extreme low angle of the light makes the edges of the devices glare. So better images showing the light a bit move on central area of the coin would be lot more helpful.

Perhaps as I'm not very good at pricing, but normally we advise not premium unless missing a substantial part of the design. I'm interested to hear what others think too.

Need better photos. If it is just missing the U,there is no added value...IMHO.

I agree... if that is all that is missing, no premium.
