I got this from my grandmother years ago. It says it is aa Ancient Egypt as in subject line. It is in a plastic case with cardboard around it.

You will need to remove the coin from the 2x2 and take better pictures of both sides of the coin, also if you can provide the size and weight that will help with the ID.

Canīt wait to see more pictures
It might be a medium or large sized bronze with Zeus imagery from the Ptolemaic Egypt...

Hopefully these are good enough. Phone camera and photographer not premium. Removed from plastic and both sides.

I'm not endorsing authenticity but it does look like a genuine bronze coin from the Egyptian Ptolemaic dynasty in Fine to Very Fine grading. Nice one!

The reverse (first picture) shows an eagle standing on a thunderbolt, both attributes of the god Zeus.
The obverse (second picture) shows the horned head of Zeus-Ammon facing right.

What I don't know is why the precise dating of 196 b.C... that exceeds me.

Do you happen to know its diameter and weight?

Approximate size is 1 1/2 inch diameter and 1 lb and 6 oz.
The container I took it out of gave this description of Ptolemy V Epiphanes 196 B.C. marked VF and some Greek writing. Also, what appears to be a price that covered with what looks like white out.
