VF? I think your being pretty liberal on that coin. I see it as a very nice XF with great eye appeal. If it dont reach XF it should still bring XF money based on that picture.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I appreciate it.  The coin is not from a show. A fellow member of EAC advertised it for sale, and I was lucky to be first in line to buy it. I love the clean surfaces.

I'm guessing VF30/VF30 with the obverse possibly going as high as XF 40. Either way it's a great coin and the best part is that is has an excellent planchet. No pits no corrosion no nothing! It's a lot easier to find one of these coins in this grade than it is to find such nice surfaces. I agree with the earlier poster that even if this does grade VF, then it might deserve XF money, because most VF's would allow for minor surface problems that just aren't present on this coin.
