From the ol' mystery box:

J. Eisher, Tea Dealer, 21mm, hefts like C-N or nickel, or maybe steel.

Thanks in advance for any clues!

Thanks for your tip, John1...I'll certainly check them out.

Meanwhile, I thought some folks would pick up on the song title as indicating which info I'm missing for this token.
A bit more on that here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Where_or_When. (I grew up with the doo-wop versions.)

Wash your hands, everybody!

@dalton, while I can't find this token, it looks like the British Museum has a couple late 19th Century paper trade cards with a tea dealer of the same name. Here is a link to one of them:

Thank you, Spence! I followed your link and then had to go back and double-check my token under a 15x loupe to confirm that the issuer called itself Eisher, with an E. For that, I got "No results found" at the British Museum.

I think I'm going to have to find a copy of the Hawkins Dictionary, and even that won't help, of course, if this piece was struck post-1910.

Thanks again...the tip is much appreciated.

Ah, my bad. Despite you saying that it was an E, I looked at it and only the letter F. I'll keep digging...
