Penny roll hunting and found this 1956 Lincoln Wheat penny with extra thickness in the date and "Berty" of Liberty. Was wondering if this is considered to be doubled or a case of worn die?
I have seen many wheat pennies with extra thick dates. What is this from?
You have a clipped 6, so check the eyelid for doubling. Only 2 on VarietyVista.com....thickening of the devices may be due to circulation wear....good luck
