Sometimes face on pictures and profiles can give a different perception of an overall image. Nevertheless, a consistent interpretation of all of the Emperors on a single page as shown here can be a valuable tool for art and identification purposes. As I see it, it would be a doubly valuable tool if all of those photographic images could show each Emperor in profile, to help with the Roman coin identification process.
In Roman times, when a new Emperor came to power, new plaster busts were made for distribution to the various Mints throughout the Empire. That is why the die engravers were all approximately on 'the same page'. I guess variations in those busts and how they they were interpreted by the die engravers give rise to the various styles of profile found on the coins and help to identify the Mint from which each coin came.
