this VAM has cracks , very cool coin . 1885 o VAM 25a I should have in a few days and will post more pics but any guesses on this one ?     Edited by JasonKflo

typical average strike for an 85(O). luster fairly good. photos are a little blurry but the surface preservation on the reverse is good, on the obverse there are quite a few marks. eye appeal average.i think the obverse held this one to MS63 based on these photos

I should of waited to post till I get the coin the lines are die cracks . VAM 25a is heavily cracked VAM . |

    tried to work my magic. The reverse is stunning there is a thin scratch on the reverse holder from the head to past the arrows, this is not on the coin. Mark behind the cap is not deep but a luster rub . No big nicks mostly just bag marks rubbing the luster. Coin has die cracks all around the front almost with a die break between the R and I beautiful coin  Edited by JasonKflo

This one grades MS-65 reverse is amazing , obverse is very nice as well just the luster rubs and smooth surfaces minus the die break and die cracks. Reverse may of brought the grade up a little though.

Agree with 65. Nice coin. The cheek gets more weight than the field marks.
