1922 is an important year. After 98 years, I highly doubt a new RPM has been discovered with this coin I am sharing with pictures, but I will try anyways. Purchased an XF 1922 D Lincoln Penny because I thought there was a Dual Mint Mark (DMM per Wexler) or Over Mint Mark (OMM) [if we follow CONECA], where there is a potential secondary mark to the South East of the primary mark. Also, the Reverse is oriented 15 degrees off center to the left with the middle line of the Reverse as the starting point, which may explain the location of the Secondary Mark. If more pics are needed, let me know, I have a microscope.

to CCF. Always best to remove coins from holders before taking photos, cuts down on glare. I am not seeing a RPM or a OMM.Wexler shows no RPMs for that year Variety Vista shows no RPM or OMM either. I am not seeing it either.

@shan, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree with the frog and @john1 that this mintmark has some circulation flattening.

With regard to the obv and rev not lining up, that is a neat find. Best way to photograph that is slightly obliquely in front of a little mirror so that we can see both sides in the same pic.

In my opinion, best is to carefully cut the clear plastic and then plan to just put the coin into a new 2x2 when you are ready. The only time I have damaged a coin when removing from a 2x2 was when I removed a staple thinking that I would reuse the 2x2. In that case, one of the arms of the staple remained in the cardboard and then gave my coin a wicked scratch as I slid it out.
