Aloha,

I have a few of these 1970s coins. I believe they are the small dates in watching some videos? I am pretty sure they all are the floating roofs.

Looks like a large date and the right side of the roof looks still there.

They look like large dates to me. The easiest way to tell the small date is the size of the 7 vs the size of the 0. The top and the bottom of the 7 should be level with the 0. the large date 7 sinks lower in comparison to the tops of the 9 and the 0 and the tail is noticeably lower than the bottom of the 0. Here is a picture of mine.

The best way to check them if they are on your monitor, is this little trick I figured out. Even on ebay actions where they like to angle the images, you can always tell:

They are actually to different designs:

Note the inside curl of the '9'? That is the difference that is easy to see:

The curl and the location of the lower part of the '7'. Hope this helps. The floating roof is just an die event, where dies get over polished. To me they are nothing special along with the other missing devices from over polishing.
