Poll Question
Hi I am new to the forum but I'm pretty sure my 1983p quarter is an error coin. I would really appreciate everyone's opinions.

Can you explain what you believe the error is? Which part of the coin are you looking at?

Where is the error? The coin is in nice condition, but I don't see anything out of the ordinary with these pics here

Given the photos provided, I'm only seeing a lightly circulated '83 quarter. Possibly some partially grease filled details, but unsure.

The weak motto is from vending machine wear. Damage to the coin is not a mint error. It would be like going to a junk yard and seeing dented fenders and assuming they are factory errors. Damage happens after the coin is struck. (even Machine Doubling is damage to the devices, that also happens after the strike)
