Hey friends!
Just wanted to let y'all know that I'm going to be done with any variety collecting or searching for a good while. I'm currently in the London airport, and about to board another flight for Oman (in the Middle East). I'll be there for a year before returning to the States next Summer.
I'll still try to contribute now and again to helping others, but my searching days are done for the time being. I'll probably also become significantly less active, but oh well.

By all means safe travels.
Sounds interesting that you get to visit so many places. Probably not as much for you since you may not get a chance to make long-lasting friendships by moving so often. All the more reason to come back and visit often to keep up with everyone and the new varieties.
I've noticed a level of maturity and strength in you beyond your years. Let us know if you need a care package of cents to search.

Thank you Pete, it's very interesting indeed. Brings a special perspective on life. Yes exactly, that is one of the biggest downsides, but it makes the world seem a lot smaller. For example, my best bud that I grew up with before I started moving around, has the same job as my parents. And recently I met a few people that actually know him as he visited the same place where I am right now. For sure, I'll try my best to keep everyone up to date and keep to the forum when I can.
I'm glad you've recognized that, I try to be as mature as I can. I've witnessed several distasteful things people have done at my age, and just try my best to not be like that. Haha thanks for the offer, sounds good!

Not sure about die varieties but you can find some dramatic errors over there!
An American anywhere overseas (specifically the middle east) young or old, you better be on your best behavior.
That year will go fast! Have a good trip.

Oh for sure, 100%. They're extremely strict over here, but they're also kind and welcoming. Everything is pretty much locked down however, as I was only able to get through the border (which is also locked down) because I'm a diplomat.
Thank you! Things are already running smoothly, in my apartment right now, safe and sound.

Thank you Parklane! Yes I am indeed a diplomat, been one for 5 years. I'll make sure to remember. Can't go outside sadly right now, quarantine and the country is also locked down completely. They don't usually let anyone outside their houses.
