Do a search on this site for"brass 1859" and read the multitude of threads/posts on the subject. The ONLY was to know is to do an XRF and I can tell that coin of yours has been heavily cleaned. Many many things can turn bronze yellowish. My thoughts are it's just a narrow 9.
I'm only saying what I "think". The only way to tell is to get a good XRF shot that has been calibrated to delineate "brass" alloys ... need specifics on tin and zinc.
