okiecoiner Pillar of the Community Canada 5590 Posts	Posted 08/29/2020 6:42 pm I think that the same thing occurred during WWI, as it did in WWII. Most of the steel was being used for war items than steel for making dies. I think that they used them until ultimate failure, rather than pulling them out when they started to fail.
