Weighs in at under 4.5 grams with a grain pattern similar to what I've seen with centavos planchet errors. I weighed another buffalo with similar wear and missing date and that came in at 4.8 g which is within tolerance. Possible planchet error or not?

Just a well worn circulated buff IMO.

Looking through previous topics I noticed 2 other Buffalo nickels weighing 4.4 grams. Maybe there's another explanation.

Just noticed what maybe multiple die crack/spike heads, maybe 3 of them?
