Opinion On "ancient" Coin? Authentic?

silverstash119 Valued Member United States 182 Posts	Posted 09/01/2020 10:36 pm Hi all, I have no details on this coin other than it was marketed as an ancient coin. I'd assume it's Roman, or supposed to be. Appears to be bronze. I can't make out the words on the edge. Thickness seems slightly variable and it's not a perfect circle. Any thoughts on if it appears to be authentic or a fake, based on a cursory review? If so, any thoughts on an ID? The coin was just a bonus in an online purchase, so I won't be too upset if it winds up being fake, but I would like to have a real ancient in my collection... just to hold a piece of history. silverstash119 Valued Member United States 182 Posts	Posted 09/01/2020 11:08 pm The Valens one seems closest for the front side, I thought it said something like "Spence" on the side, but I see the valens ones in some online photos seem to say something like "spfavc", that must be what's on my coin.
