Hi all:

I purchased two rolls of 2004 Iowa State Quarters in original US Mint Wrap. After going through all of the 2004-P quarters, I notices two sets of strikes. One set had a left window of the school on the obverse with some difference, about 18 coins, and the other set of remaining coins did not have this variety. Is this an issue with the die or a strike. I don't know what is the type of issue that would cause this (new to the hobby!). Any help would be appreciated. Pictures are of the obverse and reverse, as a pair, and then of the reverse individually of the "normal" and "variety". Thank you!

Providing a close up, hopefully this helps. Thank you!

I noticed elsewhere the WV State Quarter also has an issue with the Reverse, there is a window with a recognized DDO, but it is different from Iowa.

Having read other threads on Die Chips on CCF, die chips would constitute a variety as the chip is on the working die. This would explain the 18 coins in this roll with that die chip. Are die chips of any value, or just a nice variety? The roll had a major die chip on only one coin also with this window die chip, it looks like a drop of water. But this second larger one, I only found on one coin in this roll. Thoughts as to why I did not see this larger die chip elsewhere?

Tiny die chip. Not worth any premium, imo.

Thanks everyone, very helpful! Any readings you could recommend on strike errors and associated values would be helpful.
