Yeah I do! That's a nice find. The pic is blurry but can you see a defined line indicating a dd? I can definately see the beard, mouth and nose doubled.

Welcome to the Forum.
Just a coincidental staining effect.

It's a line that's cutting down the side of Lincoln's face that is creating this effect. However it is not doubling, just PMD, just a cut.

A visual impression caused by wear (hits and dings) and environmental agents (leading to staining). Would love to see sharp, high resolution photos of the full coin, obverse and reverse.

Cool find. May not be worth anything to real coin collectors but it's probably worth 20.00+ to most collectors on ebay. Great find no matter what caused it.

I disagree Marine1999. It's worth one cent. It isn't good to tell someone to try to sell something like that and claim it is something it isn't. It's scamming pretty much.

Coin is worth 1 cent, it's just staining and PMD.

Silvercents. I never told him to sell it as something it is not. It looks cool and some folks will buy it just because of the way it looks. Hence why I stated "real" coin collectors vs collectors on ebay. It simply depends on what the buyer is into. Love tokens are damaged coins but folks collect them. There's even MD coins selling for good money on ebay even though numismatics tells you it's only worth face value.

Fair enough. I guess it just annoys me because there have been lots of people that have claimed a coin is worth something, attempt to sell it on ebay, and just flood the market with worthless junk.
