1939 S Lincoln Wheat Penny -Die Crack Question?

Hi guys,

I have this 1939 S Lincoln Wheat penny and noticed what I consider to be a die crack below the "9" in 1939. Is this unusual for die cracks to be going very close to and wrapping under the date? It appears as though the die crack runs upwards along the rim of the coin (even though it hard to see it in the photo).

Might be Die Deterioration. That can cause halo's like that.

But there looks like a scratch from NE to SW starting a ways above the 9.
