Hello all,
I have this 1959 LMC with these weir lines on the memorial steps and up the memorial. Weird and not sure if it's an error or post mint damage. Please advise.

It looks almost like damage from a wire brush, but I'm not sure. Anyone else have an idea?

It's tough to tell from the pic, but judging by the obvious damage on the side, I would guess it is also damage.

Can you get a closer pic of just the area in question?
