Can anyone provide a general price range for common, circulated star notes in every denomination? Grade range I guess from VF to AU. Series 2001 and on type stuff.

Or at the very least, how much you would be willing to pay for one.

For me, I'd say:

$1- $1.25
$2- $2.50
$5- $5.50
$10- $11
$20- $22
$50- $54
$100- $105

...or am I crazy?

On notes that new I don't believe there would be(or should be) any premium on circulated notes. I suppose there's always someone willing to pay a little more for them so in that regard I think your prices would be in the ballpark.

I have, and I registered and all, but I can't figure out how that answers my question

Do I have to actually enter my serial number and then it will tell me its value or something?

TimJing,
Click on Reference at the top right of page then on Star Notes then click on the year and denomination then enter your bill # in the Run Range box and make sure to end your bill # with a star symbol like this; *.
I hope this helps you out a little.

I'll continue to keep everyone I find as long
as there are people that collect them. They
are always good as a simple sale or trade item

Lucky for me I'm a cash handling manager at
a major retailer. I find about 1-2 a week
when I close my store down.

Yeah, but that still doesn't give me dollar values. I can find all of those numbers in my Red Book of Paper Money.

I'm just wondering what you guys would be willing to pay (or think others would be) for each, really.

I probably wouldn't buy circulated stars at all, but if I were to, I'd think your prices for the lower denoms are okay - a 0.25 to 0.50 premium. $11 for a $10 bill is pushing it, and I doubt I'd pay $22 for a circulated $20 bill, or any of the larger denoms.

Of course I am thinking of well circulated notes.
