Here I found what I believe is a 1939 Wheat penny with several errors.

missing 3(seen it magnified)
the word liberty in the letters you can only see ty there may be more

Given the photos posted, I'm seeing a very worn wheat cent--not uncommon with early wheat cents to have letters and numbers worn down, almost to the point of the appearance of being missing. Could be a greased die matter as well. I have a few thousand similar, worn cents. Better photos--larger, closer-in, and high resolution might help.
